Well that was an unexpected election result.
GF woke early this morning and was reading his emails just after 05:30. Then it occurred to him that he should check the results. He couldn't quite believe his eyes. Prediction was an overall majority for the Conservatives. That seemed so unlikely given the media slant, the celebrity endorsements, and the vitriol that was being directed at the Tories.
GF was delighted. It seems that a degree of sense washed through the nation, and a realisation that you cannot spend money that you don't have and you cannot mortgage you children's future by borrowing money that they will have to repay.
